Product Overview

Each volume of TEXTUREMATIONS is a CD-ROM containing 25 animations. Each animation is given as a sequence of seamless 720x480 true-color JPEG compressed images and as 320x240 AVI and Quicktime movies. The CDs are ISO 9660 compliant, this means that they can be read by Windows, Windows NT, SGIs, and Macs. Versions of the tools are included for Windows NT (Intel and Alpha) and SGI.

Texturemations are seamless in both time and space. Seamless in space because each frame of a texturemation can be placed next to a copy of itself and it will blend perfectly. Seamless in time in the sense that the entire sequence of frames can be repeated, joining a copy's beginning to the original's end with a resulting animation of twice the length which plays smoothly and with no discontinuities. These procedures can repeated as needed to fill as much space or time as desired.
