Image Converter lets you control Softimage's image conversion tools graphically instead of via the command line. (From a programmer's perspective, it is a wrapper of Softimage's image conversion executable.) Image Converter is pure Tcl/Tk. No SAA calls are used and no SoftWish license is needed.

To run this program make sure Softimage environment is set then type:

    wish80 %SI_LOCATION%\3d\custom\SoftWish\SoftWishDemos\standaloneDemo\imageConvertor.tcl

on NT or

    wish8.0 $SI_LOCATION/3D/custom/SoftWish/SoftWishDemos/standaloneDemo/imageConvertor.tcl

on SGI.  The Image converter window will appear, letting one specify file name to convert from and file name where to save converted image. To specify the format of the output file use an extension (such as .tif).
